摘要:	本研究的目的在探討台灣社區老年人自我發展與生活品質之相關性。採描述性橫斷面相關性研究設計，透過方便取樣，以台中市社區老年人為收案對象，研究樣本共有308位，運用生活品質短表(SF-36)與心理社會平衡量表(IPB)為工具收集資料。以因素分析、皮爾森相關與逐步迴歸進行資料分析。結果修訂發展出台灣版之社區老年人心理社會平衡量表。此量表有45題，將自我發展八大階段之題目各縮減為信任階段（6題）、自主階段（5題）、主動進取（6題）、勤勉（6題）、自我認同（5題）、親密感（5題）、創生生產（5題）、自我統整（6題）。量表內在一致性之Cronbach α為0.88，聚合效度與區辨效度分別為0.87與0.96，顯示具良好信效度。在自我發展與生活品質的相關性分析顯示，自我發展八大階段與生活品質皆具有顯著相關，其中自我統整與信任的相關最高（r=0.69, p<0.01），與創生生產的相關次高 (r=0.55, p<0.05)。逐步迴歸分析後發現，信任、自我認同、自我統整可以預測生活品質之生理層面，總解釋力為40％；而信任、自我統整可以預測心理層面的生活品質，總解釋力為43％。本研究提供一個簡化自我發展量表，並針對台灣社區老年人信任、自我認同、自我統整提出相關促進措施，以提升其生活品質。 The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between ego development and quality of life (QOL) for community elderly in Taiwan. Descriptive and cross-sectional survey was applied to be the research design. Through convenient sampling, the 308 samples were recruited to this study from community elderly in Taichung, mid-Taiwan. SF-36 and Inventory of Psychosocial Balance (IPB) were used to collect data. Factor analysis, Pearson’s correlation and stepwise regression were applied to analyze the data. Results showed: 1.The brief version of Inventory of Psychosocial Balance for Taiwanese which is included 45 items was established. This instrument included 8 steps: Trust(6 items), Autonomy(5 items), Initiative(6 items), Industry(6 items), Identity(5 items), Intimacy(5 items), Generativity(5 items), Ego integrity(6 items). Cronbach`s α is 0.88, convergent validity is 0.87 and discriminant validity is 0.96 which indicate the instrument has a high internal consistency and acceptable constructive validity. 2. The total score of ego development was significantly correlated with QOL. 3. Trust, Identity, and Ego integrity can significantly predict QOL. The total explained variaous in physical component and mental component of QOL is 40％ and 43％. The study conducted a feasible instrument to evaluate ego development for Taiwan’s elderly. It is imperative to improve trust relationship, to identify elderly role, and to reassure life values to promote QOL for the community elderly in Taiwan.
