Generally, most of scholars mainly focused the ancient books on the the author, error correction, language annotation and translation. Since there are various writing forms about the ancient books of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), they are hard to understand fully unless you spend much more time and efforts. Recently, we develop the modern methods by quoting & affiliating the source, using the Visio linking structure chart and keyword table, summing up and comparing for studying the ancient books to approach more efficient and better achievement.
“Huatuo Zhong Zang Jing” is one of the “11 Important TCM ancient books” which were according to the “TCM Ancient Books Collation and Publishing Plan” that enacted by the Ministry of Public Health in mainland China in 1982. Although there was a controversy over the author of this book since the Song Dynasty, its medical value is confirmed by majority, especially in the method for systematizing theory of “visceral pattern identification/syndrome differentiation” and the pulse & syndrome that can judge people’s life or death on the dialectical therapy in clinical practice.
First of all,we choose one chapter named “Talking about pattern/syndrome of Deficiency and Excess, Cold and Heat, Life and Death in the Liver Meridian with Number 22” and“prescriptions”in order to be sure of publishing time of this book. We choose key words of this chapter, find out contents relevant to this book from Huangdineijingtaisu,” “Beijiqianjinyaofang” and “Nanjing.” Amalgamate the contents of these books, put in order, draw some tabulations, analyze them.
Besides, we list a keynote and an outline from the start and our analysis in the end of each chapter. Then, the Microsoft Visio software is used to draw the connecting chart .
The results of our study illustrate that there is a huge correlation between “Huatuo Zhong Zang Jing” and “Beijiqianjinyaofang” about “visceral pattern identification/syndrome differentiation”, and the“prescriptions”of this book had finished after Song Dynasty. The content of“Huatuo Zhong Zang Jing” was not only one sourse. We develop new methods to study the ancient books of TCM.
