This part is to examine the isoflavone derivatives as anticancer agents. The isoflavone have been demonstrated anticancer effects. Therefore, we designed a series of isoflavone derivatives that can distinguish four major categories. (1) the B ring of isoflavone were replaced by different group, and extended side chain. (2) the OH group of 7th position in isoflavone was connected to the different substitute. (3) the 5th position was added OH group to compare their anticancer activity with the first category. (4) the OH group of 7th position in isoflavone was replaced by other groups. All we synthesis target compounds were subjected to SRB assay for the in vitro cytotoxicity against breast cancer cell lines MDA231, lung cancer cell lines A549, prostate cancer cell lines PC3 and chondrosarcoma cell lines JJ012. We demonstrated that the activity of isoflavone derivatives of prostate cancer is bad, the only special is in the 5th position added OH group and the B ring in isoflavone have large group, such as benzoyl, the activity of prostate cancer is greatly increased, the best anticancer activity is 5
