In a two year project, we will collect related references on 38 commonly misused TCM herb species during the application of drug product certificate in recent years in CCMP. After a panel discussion of the experts, the correct species will be diccussed and posted on the websites as reference for the pharmaceutical companies.. In the first and second year, the project will also offer two sessions 3-day workshop on Commonly Misused Chinese Herb Species for herbal practitioners and quality control personnel in Herbal Pharmaceutical company. Each participant will receive a set of commonly misused herb specimen (about 120 items). A total of 5 sessions, of total 15 days workshop will be held in two years. Two panel discussion on commonly misused TCM herb species related issues will be held each. The conclusion and recommendation from the panel discussion will be submitted to the CCMP for future reference. By doing so, we wish to elevate the quality standard in the TCM herbal communities.
