Abstract:	中醫的診斷利用人體在疾病的表現狀況，將人的體質分成寒、熱；虛、實；表、裡等等類別，利用屬性不同之中藥將不平衡的身體調至平衡以治療疾病。數千年來，體質特性與相關疾病間的關係及其治療方法均已詳細的紀錄在中醫的典籍裡，不同中藥的藥性與其對人體的影響也有詳細記載。近幾年，人類基因序列已公布，許多分子生物的技術與資訊提供很好的方法來分析細胞的整體表現，突破以往以一個基因為主的研究方式。這種以大量基因表現分佈的研究方式與中醫的診斷方式，利用個體的症狀來診斷病因有相似之處。本研究中將利用基因晶片的技術研究中醫寒或熱性中藥與基因表現的關係。作為反證體質「寒熱」類型有關係的基因表現。研究中預計完成以下目標：1.三味寒藥：黃芩、黃連、黃柏，與三味熱藥：附子、肉桂、乾薑，將用來處理腎內皮細胞，並比較不同的劑量來篩選出真正有相關的基因。2. 利用基因晶片與基因體技術來比較不同處理時的基因表現，將與沒有處理的細胞做比較。3. 從寒藥與熱藥的基因表現中，用電腦分析來有效找出寒與熱特殊相關的基因。以作未來進一步分析的依據。此研究所確認的基因將可以用來研究寒與熱的分子生物機轉與調控、基因的差異性與疾病的關係，進而做為其他中西醫結合診療研究之基礎。其中建立之研究方法將提供一個嶄新的領域來研究中醫理論的科學性，其結果更可以用來建立中西醫之間的橋樑、並分析個體之間的基因差異，希望數千年中醫的人體試驗結果能利用現代分子生物的方法找出身體各症狀與分子生物特性的相關性，並進而促進醫學上的進步。 In Chinese medicine, the patients？H？Hconstitutional types are classified according to their manifestation in disease circumstances, and different types of Chinese herbs are used to treat the patients by correcting the unbalanced status of body. In recent years, instead of the method of studying single gene, many molecular biological information and techniques provide very good methods to analyze the whole expression of the cell. The method to investigae the expression of large quantities of gene and the Chnese medical diagnostic method have similarity that they make use of the characteristics of individual for diagnosis. In this reaserch, we will use gene chips to study the the gene expression under the influence of the "hot" and "cold" Chinese herbs. The data will be analyzed by computer to find the "hot" and " cold" constitutinal related genes for advanced study. The results of this study will find out the molecular mechanism and control of the ？H？±cold？H？H and ？H？±hot？H？H constitutional types and to provide the molecular basis for the combination of Chinese and western medical diagnostic study.
