Abstract:	樟芝是相當貴重的台灣民間藥，在台灣民間認為有促進健康及預防疾病的功能。由於長期服用，對樟芝進行28日的毒性研究是必要的。除可瞭解安全用量外，血液學及血清生化學的資料也可用為萬一樟芝過量中毒解究的參考。樟芝保健功效的資料有限，第一年在進行28日毒性研究的同時，我們也探討其活體內抗氧化及改善胃腸功能的能力。在第二年將檢討樟芝增強免疫、抗過敏及抗高血壓的作用。這些結果可提供樟芝開發為保健食品的科學基礎。 Antrodia camphorata is very precious in the Taiwanese herbal market. The potential health promoting and disease preventive effect of Antrodia camphorata is emphasized in Taiwanese folk medicine. Considering the chronic uses, it is necessary that 28-day’s toxicological investigation are carried out with Antrodia camphorata to determine its safety at normal dose and the probable hematological and biochemical disturbance occurring after intoxication. This information can be help in planning treatment of Antrodia camphorata poisoning. Limited information is available on health promoting activity of Antrodia camphorata. Except 28-day’s toxicological studies, we simultaneously examine the antioxidant activity (in vivo) and ameliorating of gastrointestinal function of Antrodia camphorata in the first year. In the second year, we investigate the immunostimulating, anti-allergy and anti-hypertension of Antrodia camphorata. These results can supply the scientific evidence for Antrodia camphorata. To develop a health food.
