食物異物造成食道破裂在急診室是嚴重但少見的疾病。本病例報告一位58歲男性，由於在到院前5天因誤吞藥品之鋁箔包裝，而逐漸出現吞嚥困難症狀；因於他院做食道內視鏡發生呼吸困難，而轉診到本院，經本檢查發現由於食道破裂造成縱膈腔炎(mediastinitis)，而且在施行胃鏡檢查時併發氣胸(pneumothorax)，本文討論病例病程並回顧現有文獻及病歴報告。
Esophageal perforation resulting from foreign body ingestion is rate and carries a high mortality rate. We report a 58-year-old man who presented to an emergency room with dysphagia after swallowing a drug packet 5 days before admission. He complained of dyspnea after endoscopy and was referred to our hospital. Esophageal perforation complicated by mediastinitis and pneumothorax was diagnosed.
