摘要:	Background: Discharge planning (DP) has been established in health market since 1993 in Taiwan. The role of nurse became important to perform the DP as continuing care for patients. The understanding in related factors of nurse perspective on DP is needed to explore. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to explore the nurses’ knowledge, attitude, and behavior on DP. The related factors of nurses’ perceptions were also investigated. Methods: The study sample consisted of 752 staff nurses, which were selected from 3 hospitals in central Taiwan. A self-designed questionnaire was developed with a respective validity and reliability. The response rate of nurses’ survey was 96.3%. Descriptive statistic and multiple regression models were applied to analyze the data. Results: A majority of 90% respondents had high score of survey that indicated positive perceptions of DP included knowledge, attitude, and behavior. The nurse-training program was found as important factor that related to nurses’ knowledge and attitude in DP. And, the pre-job training course was served as a significant factor of nurses’ behavior in DP. Moreover, job status of nurses also was found as a related factor of nurses’ behavior of DP. Conclusion: The finding supported that the nurse training programs enclosed DP courses are important for nurses’ knowledge, attitude, and behaviors of DP. The recommendation for improving nurses’ DP was suggested.
