This case-control study was conducted to analyze the association between single-nucleotide polymorphism of hUART1 (including C258T and C426T) and gout. The study comprised 183 subjects (112 cases and 71 controls) with 48% aborigine and 52% non-aborigine who lived at Ho-Pin area of Taichung County, during January 2005 through November 2006.
