摘要: | “Four Chinese Herbs Mixture ”treatment on a neurogenic bladder case report Sheng-Feng Hsu , Ming-Lun Chen China Medical University Neurogenic bladder was a major problem for spinal cord injured patients, and it usually took two to three months to reach balanced status. The complications of neurogenic bladder such as recurrent urinary tract infection, hydronephrosis secondary to ureteral reflux or obstruction, and stone formation might be occurred later. Bladder training, intermittent catheterization, parasympathomimetric drugs and surgery were the standard treatments for the neurogenic bladder. Based on Spinal Cord (1998), Chang Gung Memorial Hospital had reported that using electroacupuncture at CV3, CV4, UB32, resulted in a shorter period to reach a balanced bladder. We would like to report a case of 63 y/o male who couldn’t spontaneously void after HIVD operation. Urodynamic study showed detrusor areflexia, and the case was diagnosed as having neurogenic bladder. In this case, “Four Chinese Herbs Mixture” was spread in a 3x3x0.5cm area to cover CV3, CV4 acupointsfor 3 hours once a day. Three days later, the patient could pass urine by himself. If we could shorten the period to reach a balanced bladder and detected the urine rention measured by non-invasive instructments, we will get an evidence basis on neurogenic bladder and might decrease the social burden in the future .
