Most of the herbs sold in Taiwan are imported from Mainland China. To ensure the quality of the herbs imported, it is necessary to visit the major commercial herb centers I China to understand the production, management and cultivation in the cultivation bases. Together with the other funded project for publication of color illustration of Taiwan Herbal Pharmacopeia, this project will organize a team to visit Chinese Pharmaceutical University and Nanging University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanging, and botanical gardens on the campus and in Nanging area. We will also visit Hangchou botanical garden, and the major herb cultivation center, Chien-Hsiang City and Pan-An herb center. We will also visit ChangSu commercial herb center in Chiangshi province. The related information will be collected and color photos of crude drugs and medicinal plants will be taken. The color photos will be provided for compiling the color illustration of Taiwan herbal Pharmacopeia.
