    Abstract: "長鏈的壬基苯酚聚乙氧基醇類 (nonylphenol ethoxylates, NPEOs)為非離子介面活性劑之主要清潔產品,壬基苯酚聚乙氧基醇類會隨著排放過程,其乙氧基醇鍵逐漸被微生物作用而去除,其最終產物為已被證實的環境荷爾蒙之壬基苯酚(Nonylphenol, NP)。由於大量使用壬基苯酚聚乙氧基醇類之清潔劑後排放於水體中,卻無適當處理過程,壬基苯酚於各國河川皆被檢測出,因此環境與人類受其威脅日與劇增。壬基苯酚主要用途為工業方面包含黏著劑、樹脂、塑膠,且其前驅物質壬基苯酚聚乙氧基醇類為常用清潔劑之一,其在厭氧條件下會轉變為壬基苯酚,而壬基苯酚為一種持久性污染物,會經由食物鏈進入人體內,造成生殖方面的危害。由於壬基苯酚聚乙氧基醇類為一般民眾易接觸而隨意排放的物質,因此我國環保署修正清潔劑環保標章標準之草案,其限量為0.1%以下,未來壬基苯酚的管理為主要重點。目前已改良尿中壬基苯酚水解法,為鹽酸處理法;若將鹽酸水解再做改良,以適合污泥基質的前處理法,使壬基苯酚聚乙氧基醇類經酸處理後轉變為壬基苯酚,利用高效率液相層析儀/螢光檢測器做定性、定量分析。本研究以改良鹽酸水解法處理,評估污水處理廠各單元中壬基苯酚聚乙氧基醇類與壬基苯酚之比例,對壬基苯酚的生物降解過程更加清楚。

    Long-chained nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEOs) are widely used in nonion surfactants such as detergents.When long-chained NPEOs are discharged, they become gradually short-chained ones due to biodegradation. The final product is nonylphenol (NP), which has been proved as one of environmental hormones. People make many NPEOs household cleaners whose sewage is inadequately treated, so NP is detected in rivers. It has been threatening the environment and human seriously. NP, whose precursors are NPEOs, is usually manufactured for industrial use such as sticky stuff, resin and plastic. Under anaerobic condition, NPEOs will transform NP, which is a kind of persistent. By food chain, NP causes reproductive damage. People come into contact with NPEOs goods easily in daily life. Therefore Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) has revised detergent environmental labeling criteria, which is lower than 0.1%. In the other word, NP management is the main point for environmental protection in the future. Nowadays, improved NP hydrolysis in urine is hydrochloric acid method. We will reform this method and apply it to sludge preparation. NPEOs can convert NP by acid. After that, NP will be analyzed for qualitative and quantity with HPLC/ fluorescence detector. For this study, hydrochloric acid preparation will be to assess NP/NPEOs ratio in wastewater treatment plant (WWTP). "
